How this piece evolved The music I play in this video is based on the last part of a study piece by Juan Martin from his book "El Arte Flamenco de la Guitarra". The full version mp3 can be downloaded from my mp3 collection page. I learned many of the pieces from Juan Martin's guitar method, "El Arte Flamenco de la Guitarra" in the early stages of my flamenco development. I used to play Juan Martin's Granadinas as a solo break during floor shows while the dancers changed costume. Over time I added my own bits. Some of the ideas for my tremolo section came from the Ivor Mairants flamenco method (1958). The arpeggio section near the end was dreamed up after a heavy night at the pub.
