This book has 10 pieces that are well worth learning. All music is written in
standard notation and tab. While it's not exactly a beginners book, it does contain a wealth of traditional
falsetas and rasgueado patterns. I have always liked Paco Peña's playing because it's clean and the compás is
always well defined.
I learned the Colombiana from this book because the first
time I heard it I was hooked. This piece presented an enormous technical challenge to me, especially for
my right hand. But it had such an irresistible aura, I was determined to master it. My playing ultimately
improved as a result of practicing it endlessly. Good thing too, because when I started playing regular
gigs with dancers, they talked me into playing Colombiana as the opening number. It is a beautiful and
uplifting piece to play. I can think of nothing better for improving technique (in both hands) than to
learn music that is such a joy to listen to. Other titles Every piece in this book is a masterpiece. I
highly recommend it.

User testimonial
Hi Mr. Martinez,
I am a flamenco student here in Kansas, USA, and recently I bought the
Flamenco Guitar Method 1 and 2 and Rumba Guitar with Cds, videos and score player and I have been studying
your method and I am amazed that I have learned more in 01 month than in 06 months of Flamenco Guitar lessons
with a teacher.
I am so pleased with your method. I have bought so many materials about
Flamenco guitar and they are so boring, and you showed in your video what we really want to learn. Not just
rhythms and Palos however the soloing and phrases, falsetas that is not easy to see in many Flamenco guitar
videos. I would like to thank you for this work and my technique has increased a lot. Please, don’t stop
creating good methods like these. Keep me updated about new DVDs.

The mysteries of the challenging flamenco style are unlocked in this exciting
method for guitarists at all levels. Carefully graded examples present every flamenco form, first with basic
techniques and then with increased virtuosity. Written in standard notation and tablature, complete with
chord diagrams and detailed right-hand instructions. Every example in the book appears on the companion
CD.
Product info
I really like these teaching books. The information is presented in a
progressive sequence that makes a lot of sense to me. Each technique is demonstrated in context with examples
of how to use it in various flamenco forms. Por Farruca, Por Soleares, etc. This is a teaching method I have
always favored but I find sadly lacking in other books. It also has easy to follow sketches showing the exact
movements of the hand. It's not often I come across a book that strikes me as excellent from the first
glance. This one is one of those rare study manuals that is absolutely crammed with practical learning
material from cover to cover.
