Sal's flamenco soapbox

Copyright notice

I don't have a problem with my original content being used in College research papers or reposted on another website, or whatever, as long as it is not or profit.

Ask me first.
Please do NOT just copy my material onto your website without asking me first. It's not polite and it makes me very unhappy to stumble across my stuff on the web by accident.

In most cases I am pretty generous in granting permission. Try me.

All I normally ask is that you mention me by name as the author (Sal Bonavita)
and
A working link back to my website acknowledging me as the source.

Return links
If you intend to reproduce text based material (not mp3s and video) on the your website, that's usually fine. But I would appreciate it if you ask me first. Please make sure the return link to my website is a working, (clickable) link.

Look, I'll be honest with you. I have come across many instances where my essays and even complete clones of various pages have appeared on other websites without my permission. If they have a working link back to my website, I usually don't care too much and don't bother to contact the webmaster. In fact, I'm flattered that someone would want to copy my stuff. But when I find no working link, I get really angry and militant because it makes it look like the material was created by the webmaster.

WORKING LINK (good)
Sal's flamenco soapbox

PLAIN TEXT LINK (no good to anybody)
http://herso.freeservers.com

I don't mind at all if you get creative with the return link such as:
The best flamenco website in the whole wide world

As long as it works
Thanks a lot
Sal
